Montparnasse is the other Montmartre: district of writers, painters and other artists par excellence. Montparnasse houses the cemetery where many celebrities such as Sartre or Maupassant rest. Montparnasse is the lively district of cinemas and shops. Montparnasse is the Britain area with Odessa Street having the highest concentration of creperie in the world (I have no proof of what I say but I run the bet). Finally, Montparnasse is THE tower! And what better to enjoy this place to climb the 56 floors (with elevator of course, keep your ropes and harnesses)? An amazing sight is waiting for you: a star-filled roof, a fine cuisine (avoid it if you have a tight budget) and cocktails up the place. Do not hesitate to book; the relatively small room is taken by storm on Friday and Saturday evenings, particularly for a seat near the window.
